Effective Thursday, Captain Matt Stidham will be appointed Operational Chief of Frankfort Fire Department. John Kirby will remain as Administrative Chief for the transition period through December 31.
Effective January 1, 2022, Stidham will be the sole appointed Chief for the Frankfort Fire Department. This appointment will continue to propel the Department’s operations and personnel for the future growth of our Frankfort Community.
The Frankfort Board of Works terminated John Kirby as fire chief for the city. Frankfort Mayor Judy Sheets says she feels she has been fair when her administration was caucused in not to change all the department heads right away. Mayor Judy Sheets:
