Stuart D. Fillinger, 63, of Frankfort, died Sunday, March 14, 2021 unexpectedly at home. He was born January 29, 1958 in Lafayette, Ind. to Earl A. & Phyllis (Ade) Fillinger. His first marriage was to Debra McCormick, he then married Susan Lock on July 20, 2002 in Beecher, IL and she survives.
Stuart was a 1976 graduate of Twin Lakes High School and a 1980 graduate of Purdue University with a BS Degree. He worked his entire life with the family business, Fillinger Marine Service, Monticello, Ind. He was a member of the Antique Outboard Motor Club 
of America. Stuart was an avid wood worker and was a maker of toys, loved all things with a motor and also held a private pilot license.
He is survived by his wife: Susan Lock of Frankfort, IN, mother: Phyllis Fillinger of Monticello, IN, daughter: Jessica (Patrick) O’Leary of Youngstown, OH, three sons: Casey (Katy) Fillinger of Solsberry, IN, Corey (Jessi) Fillinger of Monticello, IN, David (Maeve) Brewer of Lafayette, IN, two brothers: Donald Fillinger of Indianapolis, IN, Lewis (Kim) Fillinger of Havre De Grace, MD, six grandchildren: Jenna Fillinger, Emma Fillinger, Henry Brewer, Fidelma Brewer, Indiana O’Leary and Dutch O’Leary. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Fillinger in 2016.
Funeral Services:
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. John United Church of Christ, 536 E. Corning Rd., Beecher, IL 60401.
