Summer Extravaganza Community Resource Fair & Summer Reading Kick-Off

Clinton County is gearing up for a “dino-mite” summer celebration as the Frankfort Community Public Library prepares to host its 2026 Summer Reading Kickoff alongside a community-wide resource fair in Clinton County, Indiana.

Set for Friday, June 12 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., the event—titled the Summer Extravaganza Community Resource Fair & Summer Reading Kick-Off—will take place outside the library and invite residents of all ages to “unearth a story” through a dinosaur-themed celebration designed to spark curiosity, learning, and community connection.

Organizers are promising an evening filled with fun, food, and family-friendly activities as the library officially launches its 2026 summer reading program. The prehistoric theme adds a playful twist, encouraging attendees to explore stories, imagination, and discovery in a hands-on way.

Community partners from across the county and beyond are currently being invited to participate, with announcements expected in the coming weeks. These organizations will help showcase local resources, services, and opportunities available to families throughout the region.

In addition to educational activities and resource booths, visitors can look forward to local food trucks, giveaways, and interactive experiences designed to make the kickoff event both entertaining and informative.

Library staff emphasize that the celebration is about more than just reading—it’s about strengthening community ties and highlighting the many services available to residents. Whether attending for the activities, the resources, or simply the festive atmosphere, guests are encouraged to bring their curiosity and join in the fun.

More details will be shared as the event approaches, but one thing is already clear: this summer’s kickoff is shaping up to be a “roar-ing” good time.
