The Frankfort Parks Department team kicks off this year’s Summer Nights Movie Series Friday, June 22 with a showing of Lego Ninjago at dusk in the Shelter #5 area by the pool.According to Parks Superintendent Travis Sheets, this year’s program will feature four family-friendly movies with one per month from June – September, thanks to the generous sponsorship of The Farmers Bank.
“In partnership with The Farmers Bank team, we are pleased to offer the following schedule of great movies for the entire community to enjoy, complete with free popcorn. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and refreshments and be prepared to be entertained with some great movies under the stars,” Sheets said.
Friday, June 22: Lego Ninjago
Friday, July 27: Coco
Friday, August 24: Despicable Me 3
Friday, September 14: Paddington 2
Each movie will begin at dusk. If it’s raining on any of the scheduled evenings, the movies will be rescheduled with the new dates found on the City’s Web site (frankfort-in.gov) and the City, Parks Department and Mayor’s Facebook pages.
