After being arrested Thursday for leading police on a high speed chase from Frankfort into the county, Jordyn Prater of Mulberry entered a not guilty plea to the 10 charges he is accused of in Clinton Superior Court Friday.
The 23-year-old Prater is charged with the following crimes: two counts of Dealing in Methamphetamine, both Level 2 Felonies; Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 3 Felony; Criminal Recklessness, a Level 6 Felony; Resisting Law Enforcement, a Level 6 Felony; Resisting Law Enforcement, a Class A Misdemeanor; Driving While Suspended, Class a Misdemeanor; Possession of Marijuana, a Class A Misdemeanor; Reckless Driving, a Class C Misdemeanor; and Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class C Misdemeanor.
Prater was actively wanted in both Clinton and Tippecanoe Counties.
Prater led law enforcement on a high speed chase on West State Road 28, County Road 450 West, Main Street in Jefferson and Mulberry Jefferson Road before getting stuck in a field just west of County Road 400 East near County Road 500 North. Prater then tried to flee on foot before he was apprehended.
Prater’s trial is currently set for May 2020.
