Sylvia J. Wilson Whaley, 80, of Mulberry, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born August 29, 1939, in Dayton, to Floyd and Katie (Whitlock) Whitlock.
Sylvia had attended Mulberry High School and was a former member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary. She loved to attend all kinds of races and was an avid Cubs fan.
Sylvia J. is survived by her longtime companion, Jerral Whaley; sons, Floyd Kinslow of Frankfort, Kentucky, Tommy (Companion, Tammy) Kinslow of Ft. Pierce, FL, Daniel Kinslow of La Porte, IN and Ralph Kinslow of Frankfort, IN; daughter; Mary (Bill) Stoker-Schuetze of Luray, VA; brother, John (Lynn) Whitlock of Colburn; 16 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patricia Johnson; 1st husband, Ralph Kinslow, and her 2nd husband, Herb Wilson.
Visitation will be held at Genda Funeral Home – Mulberry Chapel on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 11 a.m. to the start of the service at 1 p.m. Funeral services will start at 1 p.m. with Pastor Donnie Ely officiating.
