Teresa L. Martin, age 75, of Maryville TN, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026 at home, surrounded in the love and care of family.
Born on January 31, 1950, Teresa was the daughter of Arlene and Gene Donoho. Throughout her life, she was known for her kind heart, strength, and love of taking care of others. She touched countless lives with her compassion, resilience, energy,and unwavering love.
Teresa was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. An eternal child of nature, she could always be found in the garden unless she was in the kitchen, baking bread or making some delicious jam or teaching a child some profound lesson of love.
She is survived by her children, Julie (David) Pilkey, Patrick (Stacy) Riley; grandchildren, Ashley (David) Lemelin, Taylor Riley, Sheena (Matt) Utt, Nathan Cook, Nicholas Cook, and Sarah Pilkey; and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by the remaining 5 T’s: Treva Donoho, Ted (Sherry) Donoho and Toni (George) Slaughter, and sister-in-law Sue Donoho along with several nieces, nephews, cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Tom Donoho; her former husband and father of her children, Paul Riley; and her former husband, Dale Martin.
The family extends their deepest love, gratitude, and thanks to their special friend, Sheri Smith, and to Gentiva Hospice nurses Summer and Monica for their compassionate care.
A Celebration of Life will be held later, at RIO South Fellowship Hall, Maryville, TN with the date and time to be announced. Blount Funeral and Cremation is entrusted with her final care.
