The Countdown For The Gravy Chase Has Begun

The Countdown for the 7th Annual Gravy Chase has begun with chances for families to enter the race to benefit the Boone County Boys and Girls Club.

This year’s Gravy Chase will kick off on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 23, in Lebanon and Zionsville at 8:30 a.m. Families and individuals may sign up for the race on the Gravy Chase Sign-Up Page. Every year, participants are welcomed from Zionsville, Lebanon, Carmel, Whitestown, Westfield, Indianapolis and all over the state.

The Zionsville races will host a 2-mile run/walk for $40 and a 4-mile run/walk for $40. The Lebanon races will host a 5k run/walk for $30. Virtual race options are available as well with family pricing available for both locations with Zionsville being $40 and Lebanon being $30. Registration prices will increase after Nov. 20. Event shirts are available on the race sign-up page.

“100% of the proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County helping to continue their work in offering programs, camps and sports to enrich the lives of local youth,” the organizers wrote. “All ages, strollers and dogs are welcome to the family friendly event.”

Lebanon racers take off for the Gravy Chase 5K.

As of Nov. 1, the Gravy Chase has raised $2,445 out of its $175,000 for the Boone County Boys and Girls Club.

The Zionsville race will kick off on Main Street and Cedar Street in Zionsville. Attendees will race through the historic downtown of Zionsville along Main Street.

The Lebanon race will kick off in downtown Lebanon and will treat attendees to a race around the square, through Memorial Park and down the streets of downtown. The race will start on North Meridian Street, and racers will race north on North Meridian before crossing East Ulen Drive to enter Memorial Park. Racers will run along the outside loops of Memorial Park, exiting on the golf cart trail to race toward Country Club Drive. Racers will turn on Artman Avenue, Ulen Boulevard, East Drive, Ulen Boulevard once more, Country Club Drive, East Ulen Drive and then conclude the race back on North Meridian Street.
