Theodore “Ted” Enoch

Theodore M. “Ted” Enoch, 89, a lifelong resident of Cutler, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 26, 2023, at Milner Community Health Care in Rossville.

Born June 5, 1934, in Cutler, Ted was the son of William J. and Ruby “Lois” (Larimore) Enoch.  He graduated from Cutler High School in 1952.  On November 22, 1953, he married his high school sweetheart, Nancy A. Mill.  She passed away April 28, 2017.

After his honorable discharge from the US Army in 1960, Ted worked at Alcoa for 35 years, then for Purdue University for 12 years before retiring.  He also farmed for many years.  He was a member of Cutler Presbyterian Church, Alcoa 25-year Club, served on the Democrat Township Trustee Advisory Board for 30 years, and Rossville Masonic Lodge where he served as Past Master and had been a Mason for 60 plus years.  He also served on the Cutler Volunteer Fire Department and was chief for 50 years.  Ted enjoyed woodworking, lawn care, flower gardening, and farming.

Ted is survived by his son, Jim (Kristin) Enoch of Burlington; son-in-law, Curtis McGrew of Camden; grandchildren, Christopher (Megan) McGrew, Madison (Jarrid) Robertson, Riley Enoch, Hannah Enoch, and Emily Goltz; great-grandchildren, Maren and Cayson McGrew and Cohen and Carter Robertson; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; son, Jeffery Enoch; and daughter, Jody McGrew.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 4 to 7pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Bodine Chapel in Rossville.  The funeral service will be Friday, November 3, 2023, 11am at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery.
