Thomas Evans Lambert, 79, loving husband, daddy, and papaw went to his heavenly Father on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at his home. He was encircled by his family in the final moments of his earthly life. He had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and was under the compassionate care of ViaQuest Hospice. Tom retired as the Vice President of Lafayette Wire in 2004.
Tom was an avid golfer, but most of all his legacy was ensuring his children and grandchildren would grow to be Godly men and women of integrity, honor, and love. One of his greatest joys was gathering together with family and friends playing his guitar and singing songs of old and of praise.
Tom is survived by his wife, Joyce Hudgens Lambert, who he loved with an everlasting love. The two were married in 1959 and have walked 59 years together, hand in hand. Tom and Joyce had four daughters, Lisa Lambert Snodgrass (Rob) of Linden, IN, Debra Lambert Sanders (Jim) of Mulberry, IN and Heidi Pope (Jared) of West Lafayette, IN, and Denise Lambert who preceded him in death; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Christ Memorial Temple, 3801 Union Street, Lafayette, IN 47905 with a funeral service at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, officiated by Pastor Robert Hackler.
