Thorntown Park Employees and Board members are meeting at the Thorntown park today, March 20 to clean up limb debris from the storms as well as work to clear trail debris beginning at noon today.
Community members who would be open to volunteering their time to clear debris are welcome to join the team while they work. Water will be available at the park. Trucks will be present to load limbs to be transported to the burn pile. Community members who collect limbs from their yards, other yards along the path to the park, side roads and more are welcome to bring them to dispose of as well.
Those in need of assistance clearing debris in Thorntown should reach out to the parks department, and as the team concludes the clean up of the park and trail, they will begin assisting those in need.
