Three Carroll County Officers Receive Life Saving Award

Three Carroll County law enforcement officers were awarded with a life-saving award this month for their efforts in a situation that occurred during the summer.

The three officers receive a Life Saving Award.

Sergeant Spencer Kingery, Deputy Kory Banes and Delphi Officer Clint McLeland received Life Saving Awards for their efforts over the summer rescuing a man trapped in a pond with a lawn mower holding him down.

According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, “their quick response along with entering the water and being able to lift the mower off the man saved his life.”

The Sheriff’s Office stated that through the efforts of officers such as the three who received the awards, Carroll County residents are able to better enjoy their lives as the law enforcement officers in the county are “selfless.”

“It is an honor to serve Carroll County alongside these selfless law enforcement officers,” the Sheriff’s Office reported. “Thank you for your dedication gentlemen.”
