Frankfort Police Officers Have Resigned or Retired Following Investigations

Three Frankfort Police Officers who were under separate internal investigations have resigned or retired.  Officer Kaleb Thompson resigned June 19, 2023, Officer Glenn Talbot retired June 30, 2023, and Officer Madison Douglass resigned July 3, 2023. 

 

Complaints were made to the Frankfort Police Department on June 11, 2023, regarding Thompson, on June 12, 2023, regarding Talbot and June 22, 2023, regarding Douglass. After the receipt of each complaint, Chief Scott Shoemaker placed each officer on administrative leave pending internal investigations.  Each officer submitted his or her resignation or retirement prior to the conclusion of the respective investigations and before any recommendations of discipline were made to the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Frankfort, Indiana.  

 

Thompson and Talbot’s resignations were submitted to the Board of Public Works and Safety at the June 20, 2023, meeting, and Douglass’s will be submitted on July 10, 2023. 

 

None of the incidents resulted in the filing of criminal charges in any jurisdiction and no disciplinary action was taken by the Board of Public Works and Safety.
