Tickets On Sale For Delphi Main Street Dine In The Dark Event For April 8

Alongside Dark in the Park, Carroll County will be experiencing another event geared toward granting the community a once-in-a-lifetime experience as they witness the total solar eclipse in Carroll County.

On Monday, April 8, Delphi will be hosting a dining experience to enhance the spectacle of the solar eclipse even further. The Dine in the Dark event will be hosted under the open skies at Riley Park with the chance for community members to witness the eclipse firsthand and experience Delphi’s finest flavors that will be tailored exclusively to match the excitement of the solar event.

The event will include a fusion of flavors created by local downtown restaurants to showcase the essence of Delphi’s culinary scene. Community members will be treated to a 120 foot long continuous dining table set with a four-course meal, including mocktails, with delicacies from seven participating Delphi restaurants. The event will be accompanied by live music, which has been sponsored by the Delphi Public Library, with eclipse glasses included.

Delphi may not be in the direct path of totality, but community members attending the event may witness up to a 99.2% deep partial eclipse that will mimic the darkness experienced in complete totality. The eclipse will not be visible in the region for the next 150 years, marking the upcoming eclipse on April 8 a once-in-a-lifetime experience for those not willing to travel the world to experience the next eclipses that will shroud portions of the Earth in darkness.
