The Bureau of Motor Vehicles announced Thursday that the Tipton branch has temporarily relocated to the Tipton Library due to a facility issue. Weather permitting, they should be back at in the building within a week to a week-and-a-half.
The temporary address is 127 E. Madison St., Tipton. Temporary hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday; and closed on Sunday and Monday. They will also be closed Saturday, May 25, for Memorial Day.
While at the temporary address, they will only be accepting credit and debit cards. Many routine transactions can be completed online. You can view a list of these transactions, find nearby branches, and check for updates on the Tipton branch on their website at www.IN.gov/BMV.
