The Tipton Police Department completed a lengthy drug investigation that led to the arrest of three individuals, including an individual that was arrested for the illegal sale of methamphetamine within the City of Tipton.
Following an extended investigation, officers reportedly obtained and executed search warrants at the residence of Vincent McKinney, 32, of Tipton on March 31. During the search, officers arrested McKinney and Cody Park, 33, of Tipton, who was identified as a known associate of McKinney, who was identified as the methamphetamine seller.
As the investigation continued, officers reportedly conducted a traffic stop that further led to the discovery of additional narcotics, employing K9 Meeko who alerted officers to the presence of a narcotic odor within the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle and its driver resulted int he discovery of over an ounce of methamphetamine, which led to the arrest of John Menifee IV, 37, of Anderson, who will also face charges for dealing methamphetamine, authorities report.
Through the investigation, nearly two ounces of methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and various items associated with the distribution of illegal narcotics were seized, officers stated.
McKinney faces charges of dealing methamphetamine, Level 2 Felony, dealing methamphetamine, Level 3 Felony, dealing methamphetamine, Level 4 Felony, possession of methamphetamine, Level 4 Felony, possession of methamphetamine, Level 5 felony, possession of methamphetamine, Level 6 felony, maintaining a common nuisance, Level 6 Felony, possession of marijuana, Class A Misdemeanor and possession of paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor.
Menifee IV was arrested for dealing methamphetamine, Level 2 Felony, and possession of methamphetamine, Level 3 Felony.
Park was arrested for visiting a common nuisance, Class B Misdemeanor.
