Today Marks One Year Anniversary of Christian Lindenmayer’s Train Accident

Christian Lindenmayer was seriously injured Monday, September 19, 2022 at 5:24 PM.  His injuries were caused by a pedestrian-train accident late in the afternoon a year ago today.

Clinton County Dispatch, Clinton County Sheriff’s office, Railroad Police and Norfolk and Southern Trainmaster all assisted Frankfort Police to help manage the accident scene as Christian was life lined to Indianapolis.

Now, one year later, Christian lost his left leg but has recovered to the point where his mobility is good and mentions standing for long periods of time is his biggest challenge.

The community pitched in to make his home in Frankfort more accessible during the recovery phase.

Christian is looking forward to completing his degree at the Crossing School in Frankfort.
