Tom Rohrabaugh, 84, of Frankfort, Ind. passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon. He was born on December 3, 1933 in Frankfort, Ind. to Raymond and Doris (Yount) Rohrabaugh. He married Connie Aughe on June 13, 1956 in Frankfort and she survives.
Tom was a 1952 graduate of Frankfort High School and a 1956 graduate of Butler University. He served as a Captain in the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command from 1957-1960 where he was a member of the 19th Air Refueling Squadron in Homestead, FL. He was President and Member of the Board of Directors of The Farmers Bank in Frankfort for 36 years and retired in June of 2000. He was named as Director Emeritis of The Farmers Bank in November 2010. On June 30, 2000 Tom was appointed by Governor Frank O’Bannon as a Sagamore of the Wabash. He was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Senior Resource Center, Clinton County Boys Club, Clinton County YMCA, Chamber of Commerce, Clinton County Community Foundation, Open Door Clinic, Clinton County Economic Advancement Foundation, Kiwanis Club, Frankfort Main Street, Order of Symposiarchs. and the Frankfort Jaycees. While at Butler, he was president of Sigma Chi Fraternity, and was a member of the Butler B-Men’s Association, along with the quarterback of the Butler Football Team under coach Tony Hinkle.
Tom is survived by: Wife: Connie Rohrabaugh of Frankfort, Sons: Thomas Scott Rohrabaugh of Frankfort and Steven J. Rohrabaugh (Wife: Jan) of Frankfort, Daughter: Kimberly A. Huffer (Husband: Jeff) of Frankfort, Grandchildren: Stephanie, Sara, Thomas, Tori, Abby, Andrew, Haylea, and Lyndsey and 4 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Raymond “Buck” and Doris Rohrabaugh and his brother: Raymond Rohrabaugh, Jr.
Funeral Services:
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday August 18, 2018 at St. Matthew United Methodist Church, 1951 Wilshire Drive, Frankfort, Ind. Pastor Phil Lake will officiate. Tom’s family will receive friends following the Celebration of Life in Fellowship Hall. Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort is assisting the family with arrangements.
