Town of Kirklin Accepting Applications for Town Council Vacancy

The Town of Kirklin is accepting letters of interest from qualified residents interested in serving on the Kirklin Town Council.

The individual selected will fill the current council vacancy and serve the remainder of the term through December 31, 2027.

Applicants must be a resident of the Town of Kirklin, a registered voter, affiliated with the Republican Party, as the vacancy is for a seat previously held by a Republican, and meet all other legal qualifications required to serve as a member of the Kirklin Town Council.

Letters of interest should include why the applicant would like to serve on the Town Council, a brief summary of their background, experience and community involvement, along with current contact information. A résumé may also be included but is not required.

Letters of interest must be received by Monday, September 7, 2026, to be considered for appointment at the Monday, September 14, 2026, 7:00 p.m. Town Council meeting.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend the September 14 meeting. Those in attendance may briefly introduce themselves and answer questions from the Town Council before the appointment process.
