Previous Report From 9 a.m., Wednesday, May 15:

The Town of Kirklin has reported that payments must be made by community members with cash, checks or money orders as the online payments currently down.

The Town of Kirklin has released information regarding its Paygov software being down for online payments for bills through the town as the software has been experiencing issues with declining payments.

As numerous community members pay with credit or debit card every month, the town stated that with today being the last day to pay utility bills to avoid penalties, community members must make their payments by cash, check or money order today at the Kirklin Town Hall if the online payment declines.

The town released that Paygov does not have an estimated time for when their IT department will have the problem identified and fixed, and community members may visit until 4 p.m. to pay in person or utilized the night drop box located outside. Envelopes will be provided, but community members must include their bill stub with their payment for processing.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause,” the town released Wednesday morning.

The town will release an update on the Town of Kirklin Facebook page when the issue has been resolved.
