The 33rd annual Festival of Lights in beautiful TPA Park is just around the corner! TPA Park, an 89-acre gem nestled in the heart of Frankfort, Indiana, has a fantastic one-way route through over a million dazzling LED lights that is sure to fill your heart with holiday magic. We hope you’re ready to embark on an illuminating adventure through our light displays and enchanting light tunnels from November 27th through January 2nd.
The festive fun doesn’t stop there! Santa’s Helpers will be at our Santa House to hand out candy canes from 6:30-9:30pm until Christmas Eve, and the big man himself will appear on select nights. If you’re in the mood for something warm and hearty, The Kitchen at TPA in the park’s concession stand will serve up delicious hot soups and, of course, hot dogs. For a sweet treat, Ozark Kettle Corn will return with their famous kettle corn. For tasty drinks both hot and cold, keep a look-out for the Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee truck.
For an extra dose of fun, Draft Bees Honey will offer FREE horse-drawn trolley rides, sponsored by Antioch Church. Trot through our light displays with them on December 12th, 13th, 19th, and 20th from 6:00pm-9:00pm and experience the wonder in a whole new way.
Mark your calendar: the Festival of Lights kicks off on November 27th and runs through January 2nd. Best of all, there’s no admission fee to bask in the glow of our lights. The festival is run 100% on the generous donations made to the Frankfort Parks & Recreation, so feel free to spread the joy and donate at our Santa House. Official hours are 6:00pm to 11:00pm. Please follow the Frankfort Parks & Recreation Facebook page for updates and additional information.
For an extra dose of cheer, tune in to 96.9 to hear WILO’s Christmas Box radio as you drive through the lights. This is the ultimate family-friendly holiday night out at the park, and we absolutely can’t wait to welcome you. You won’t want to miss this dazzling event!
Happy Holidays from the City of Frankfort Parks & Recreation Staff
