The TPA Park is showing several highly visible improvements under the McBarnes administration. The new look was started a couple years ago with the rehabilitated TPA Stone Shelter House, steps and lamp-lighted drinking fountain. All the TPA park picnic shelters were improved at that time, followed recently by completion of new bathroom facilities at the park, a retaining wall near the main entrance restroom area. Work is nearing completion on the new planter/parking area north of the TPA park concession area.
The aviary is undergoing major work and the TPA park swimming pool is currently operating after a two week delay due to required repair work. Travis Sheets, Frankfort Parks Director, gives regular updates on WILO’s Partyline program as improvements continue at TPA park and soon at the Creekside Park Downtown.
