Traffic Pattern Changes Occur Late This Week on US 52

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announce weather permitting traffic on U.S. 52 between C.R. 900 S. and Dale Drive/Turbine Drive south of Lafayette will be back into its normal traffic pattern beginning Thursday November 8. However, the left lane in each direction will be closed for approximately one week for the contractor to remove the temporary crossovers, pave the asphalt crossovers and complete other items as well.

Rieth-Riley Construction was awarded this contract for $10.5 million. This project includes patching and resurfacing U.S. 52 from South 30th St. in Lafayette to East C.R. 900 South, approximately seven miles southeast of Lafayette.

This work is scheduled for completion in mid-November.

INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a construction zone.
