Trooper Reason initiated a traffic stop on a GMC Sonoma pickup truck, near Fulton County Road 150 South and U.S. 31. The truck’s driver, identified as Hicks, allegedly failed to signal a turn and had a false and fictitious license plate. Further investigation revealed Hicks had a suspended operator’s license as did his passenger Fisher. Since there was no legally licensed driver and the license plate did not match the truck, Trooper Reason impounded the vehicle.
During an inventory of the truck’s contents, Trooper Reason allegedly found approximately 134 grams of suspected marijuana. While at the Fulton County Jail, Trooper Reason purportedly found approximately 48 grams of suspected methamphetamine that Fisher was allegedly trying to conceal while being booked into the facility.
