Two Carroll FFA Members Move Onto State Following District Leadership CDE Competition

26 Carroll FFA members competed at the District Leadership CDE’s at Hamilton Heights at the end of the week last week with two members placing first to advance to the State contest in June.

Earning a first-place finish were Emily Justice and Olivia Schroder with Horticulture Science Demonstration, earning them the chance to compete in the State contest in June. Placing second was Colt Lanum and Karson Shuler with Discovery Animal Science Demo.

Third-Place Finishes:

  • Katie McClain and Jillian Salts: Ag Mechanics and Technology
  • Rylie Click and Audrey Nelson: Animal Science Demo
  • Grayson Miller: Essay
  • Charlotte Kingery and Kennedy Shuler: Natural Resource Management
  • Morgan Butcher: Fresh Prepared Public Speaking
  • Emily Justice: Premier Leadership

Also participating were Kolby Butcher, Lyla Humphreys, Mady Isley, Claire Kuns, Morgan Kuns, Lilliana Pontigo, Ruthie Sangillio, Ashton Schroder, Hallee Shuman, Malia Speicher, Bryleigh Springer and Brooklyn Tinsman.
