Two FPD Officers Graduate 234th Basic Indiana Law Enforcement Academy

The Frankfort Police Department announced the recent graduation of Officer Xavier Vela and Officer Chastity Akard from the 234th Basic Indiana Law Enforcement Academy class as they prepare to continue their career by serving the community of Frankfort.

At the end of last week, the department celebrated the two officers’ graduation from the 16-week program that provides participants with intense training tailored to provide officers with the skills they need to continue or jumpstart their career in law enforcement. The two have successfully completed the program and will now return to the Frankfort community to complete their field training.

“Please join us in congratulating these dedicated officers on their remarkable achievement,” the department released. “We’re thrilled to welcome them back to Frankfort as they continue their commitment to protect and serve.”
