United Way for Clinton County held its annual meeting and celebration event today, bringing together community members, donors, and supporters who are dedicated to building a stronger future for our community. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended and participated in the event, as we shared the highlights of our 2025 campaign and discussed our future plans for continued growth and impact.

During the celebration, United Way’s Executive Director, Anita Stewart, reported that this year’s campaign successfully reached an impressive 99% of our $450,000 goal, thanks to the generosity of our donors and a matching grant of $100,000 from Farmers Bank. This outstanding achievement showcases the community’s commitment to supporting those in need and fostering positive change.

Anita Stewart expressed enthusiasm for the future, stating, “We are looking ahead with optimism as we continue to work together to build a stronger community. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference.”

In addition to campaign highlights, it was announced that United Way for Clinton County plans to merge with United Way of Greater Lafayette to address the growing needs in our community. This merger signifies our commitment to maximizing resources and enhancing the impact of our collective efforts. The merger is set to take place in January 2027.

The event also served as a platform to recognize and honor outstanding individuals and organizations for their contributions. We would like to congratulate the following award winners:

– Mary Kay Baker – Community Impact Award winner
– Shuanna Cari – You Make A Difference Award winner
– ADM and AMVC Swine Health Services – Organization Volunteer Award winners

In a remarkable turn of events, shortly after the celebration concluded, Anita Stewart received a call from Kirk Metzger, who generously donated the remaining amount needed to reach our $450,000 goal. His support illustrates the power of community spirit and collaboration. We can’t thank Kirk enough for stepping up to help United Way for Clinton County reach our goal.

Thank you to all who contributed to the success of this year’s campaign and attended today’s event. Together, we are making a lasting impact in our community.
