The Indiana Department of Transportation announces County Road 700 S. over I-74 will close on or after Tuesday, June 20 for bridge repair work near Jamestown in Boone County. It will be closed between State Road 75 and Co. Rd. 700 W. The detour utilizes Co. Rd. 700 West, Co. Rd. 600 S., and S.R. 75. It’s expected to reopen after mid-August, weather permitting.
Also on or after Tuesday, June 20, Co. Rd. 500 E. will close for a bridge reconstruction project near Pittsboro in Hendricks County. It will be closed between Co. Rd. 750 N. and Co. Rd. 800 N. The detour utilizes Co. Rd. 850 N., Co. Rd. 400 E., Co. Rd. 275 E., and Wall Street. It’s also expected to reopen after mid-August, weather permitting.
This contract was awarded to Pioneer Associates, Inc. It involves bridge work on six different bridges in Boone, Hendricks, Tippecanoe and Montgomery County. The contractor plans to close and work on two bridges at a time. INDOT will notify the public prior to the additional bridge closures included in this contract, which is scheduled to be fully completed in late August of 2023.
