At approximately 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, Sergeant Chris Burcham, with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, spotted Dwayne Frye, 38, a known drug user and wanted felon driving near 375 S and 500 W, in rural Boone County.
As Burcham attempted to stop the vehicle, it fled Southbound on 500 W. Frye led law enforcement on a pursuit out of southwest Boone County and into Lizton, IN (Hendricks Co.). While in pursuit, Frye drove through multiple yards and a plowed cornfield. Frye ended up driving through a chain linked fence and as a result the vehicle came to a complete stop. Frye exited the vehicle then led pursuing units on a foot chase.
Shortly thereafter Frye was apprehended at gun point and taken into custody without incident.
Also arrested at the scene was Jessica Bowman, 30. Bowman also had an active warrant out of Boone County.
