Velva Mae (Scott) King

Velva Mae (Scott) King, 93, of Frankfort, died January 8, 2022 at Wesley Manor.  She was born February 27, 1928 to Ivan & Leona (Johnson) Scott.  She was previously married to the late Clement “Junior” Stockberger and they divorced.  She married Jackie L. “Jack” King and he preceded her in death on March 6, 2018.

Velva was a lifelong Clinton County resident.  She worked for Stark & Wetzel, Peter Paul for 23 years, was a custodian for the Community Schools of Frankfort and worked at Federal Mogul.  She was a member of the Church of Christ.  Velva loved to bowl.

She is survived by 2 Sons:  Ron (MaryAnn) Stockberger of Frankfort, Brad (Sue) Stockberger of Frankfort, 2 Daughters:  Debbie (Dave) Welchlen of Illinois, Kim Bower of Frankfort, 3 Brothers:  Marvin (Anna) Scott of Rossville, Wesley (Shirley) Scott of Frankfort, Dick (Cathy) Scott of Frankfort, 1 Sister:  Bonnie L. Wade of Frankfort, 8 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.  She was preceded in death her parents, spouse, son, Gary Stockberger, sister, Barbara Eldridge, brothers, Roy Scott, Bill Scott, Harold Scott, Donald Scott and Bob Scott

Funeral Services:

 Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Paw Pals of Clinton County, P.O.
