Three Suspects Apprehended in Verizon Robbery

Antwuan Morris (22y), Donte Woodard (21y) and a 17yo juvenile are facing preliminary charges of: Robbery, Theft, Intimidation and Pointing a Firearm, Criminal Confinement and Resisting…all felony charges after their role in robbing the Verizon store at gunpoint.

Numerous phones totaling over $12,000 were taken from the safe before the three suspects fled from police. The trio were caught after a short vehicle pursuit and foot pursuit in Indianapolis. No officers or suspects were injured in the apprehension.

This investigation is still ongoing and additional charges could be filed.

At approximately 4 p.m. Tuesday, the Boone County Communications Center was notified of an armed robbery that just occurred at the Verizon store on Whitestown Parkway. Witnesses reported two armed suspects entered the Verizon store, gathered phones from the safe and fled in a silver vehicle.

Indiana State Police and Whitestown officers located the suspect vehicle southbound on I-65. A short vehicle pursuit ensued until the suspect vehicle crashed and three suspects fled on foot. At this time two of the three suspects have been detained for questioning. A perimeter was set, and a search is ongoing for the third suspect.
