Are you curious about piloting a canal boat, sharing local history, exploring historic trades, or working hands-on with unique artifacts? The Wabash & Erie Canal Park is inviting community members of all ages and skill levels to their Volunteer Fair 2026 on Saturday, April 18, from 1 to 3 p.m.
For more than 50 years, the park has thrived thanks to dedicated volunteers who share a passion for preservation, education, and recreation. Now, the park seeks to welcome new faces to continue this tradition and keep the community’s rich history alive.
Whether you’re an expert eager to contribute, a beginner ready to learn, working full-time, or retired, there’s a role for everyone. Current volunteers will lead tours of the park, showcase their work, and even teach new skills to help you get started.
