The Red Barn Summer Theatre held a volunteer work day on Saturday, May 9. Board members and several volunteers who are known as ‘Barnstormers’ helped with the project.
‘Barnstormers’ are described as way before airplanes came along, barnstormers were theatrical troupes who traveled to rural districts to perform. We’ve adopted that name to recognize local citizens who volunteer their time to assist the Red Barn. Many of our volunteers – or Barnstormers – are people who have either enjoyed attending or have worked at the Barn in the past. Our current Barnstormers volunteer as food servers, ushers, fundraisers, landscapers, flower arrangers, designers and photographers.
