Voter Registration Deadline Approaching for May 5 Primary

Residents of Clinton County are being reminded that time is running out to register to vote in the upcoming primary election.

According to county officials, voters have one month remaining to register for the May 5 primary election. The deadline to register is Monday, April 6 at midnight, and residents can complete the registration process online.

Local officials encourage anyone who has recently moved, turned 18, or has not previously registered to make sure their voter registration is up to date before the deadline. Being registered ensures residents can participate in selecting candidates who will appear on the ballot in the upcoming primary.

The primary election is part of the statewide election process overseen by the Indiana Secretary of State and determines which candidates from each party will advance to the general election.

Eligible residents in Clinton County can quickly check their registration status or complete a new registration online through the state’s voter portal.

Officials are encouraging residents not to wait until the last minute and to register as soon as possible to ensure their voice is heard in the May election.
