Clerk of the Clinton County Circuit/Superior Courts Rhea Harris says voting in the upcoming June 2 election is going to unique.
Harris says because of the COVID-19 situation and social distancing, her office is facing some unique situations making sure they have a successful and secure election for every registered voter.
“I am urging voters to consider voting by mail this election,” said Harris in a released statement. “The online absentee application makes it easy and quick. The absentee application is received by the Clerk’s office the next day giving us a quicker turnaround time in sending out and receiving back ballots. I also think it’s a very good idea for voters to think about voting absentee-by-mail because we only have 6 1/2 days for in-person absentee voting as opposed to the typical 28 days.”
