Top Notch Service Dogs and Dog Training has announced the official placement of Walter the service dog as he steps into his new role as a facility therapy dog with Suncrest Elementary School in Frankfort.
“He’s off to begin a new chapter, bringing comfort, connection and a whole lot of love to the students and staff in his school district,” Top Notch released. “Therapy dogs like Walter play an incredible role in educational settings–they help reduce anxiety, boost emotional well-being, encourage social interaction and even support academic growth by creating a more calming and welcoming environment.”
Walter will be placed under the supervision of Casey Lawson and Melissa Fresch as they have achieved their Certificate of Completion.
Walter joins Bear as the second therapy service dog at Suncrest Elementary School.
