At 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Clinton County Sheriff’s deputies was looking for a wanted person in the area of State Road 28 and State Road 29. They were assisted by several other agencies including Frankfort Police, Indiana State Police, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Rossville Marshals Office and SWAT as well as three police K-9’s at the location.
The search was in a field of standing corn and woods. Due to the standing corn and heat, a decision was made to make this a large call out for officer safety. No one was injured or treated for heat related problems.
The suspect, 44-year-old Gregory Jacobs of Frankfort, was taken into custody without incident. He was wanted on two counts — failure to appear in court and criminal mischief, resisting law enforcement and reckless driving.
