Frankfort Street Superintendent Jason Forsythe has announced that construction crews will start on the west end of the Washington Avenue project at the intersection of Williams and Washington streets instead of the east end as was originally planned. Forsythe added they hope to start on the project tomorrow (Tuesday).
Workers have begun placing signs and barricades on Washington Avenue in preparation for construction. Please use caution and drive carefully.
Central Dispatch has announced that from 7 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m. Tuesday, Washington Avenue just west of Williams will be closed. Motorists are asked to seek alternate route.
