The Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department Bike with a Cop event will kick off Saturday, May 18 with opportunities for the community to explore the town and bond with other community members and law enforcement.
The Bike with a Cop events are hosted annually by the Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department Bike Patrol officers as a means for the officers to further connect with the community of Whitestown and the youth of the town who may not receive much exposure to law enforcement officials.
“It creates an opportunity for the officers to interact and build relationships with the community youth in a fun and educational environment,” the town released. “Each ride takes place in a different neighborhood/area of Whitestown to allow all the kids within the community an opportunity to participate.”
Participants in the Bike with a Cop program are required to wear a helmet as they partake in the event. The town stated that all rides are subject to be canceled or rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Community members may stay up-to-date on cancellations and rescheduled dates by visiting the Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department Facebook page.
All rides will begin immediately at 10 a.m., and every ride is open to all community members regardless of whether they live in the starting community or not for every scheduled event.

- May 18: Eagle Nest/Westwood Landing at 6231 Eagles Nest Blvd. at the Pool Clubhouse
- June 15: Gateway Park at 6510 Gateway E. Drive
- June 29: Main Street Park at 4286 S. Main Street
- July 13: Big 4 Trail Head at 104 S. Main Street
- July 27: Fundae’s at 7165 Whitestown Parkway
