The Town of Whitestown issued a notice to the community regarding the closure of Main Street Park on Thursday, July 18 due to the need for insect reduction in the area.
The town stated that the Whitestown team will be fogging Main Street Park at 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 18 to reduce the number of insects in the park, which prompted the town to encourage community members to avoid the park overnight.
The park will be reopened to the public on July 19 for regular activities. The town noted that the Whitestown Farmers Market scheduled for Thursday, July 18 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. will be open to the public as the fogging will not commence until 9 p.m. Thursday evening.
