The Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department announced that the crews recently received a delivery of medical training equipment through a grant from the Gary Sinise Foundation.

The training equipment is intended to be utilized by the department and its officers to ensure the personnel are prepared to respond to a variety of emergency situations and treat patients at an emergency medical responder level.

The Gary Sinise Foundation dedicates itself to honoring and serving the defenders of local communities across the nation, including police personnel, through a variety of applications.

“Through the Gary Sinise Foundation’s First Responders Outreach, we provide help to critical funding for emergency relief, training and essential equipment to ensure these heroes perform to the best of their abilities,” the foundation released.

The equipment received from the foundation includes numerous first aid training dolls, which range from torsos and full bodies to infants, equipment apparatuses and much more to ensure that all Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department personnel are equipped to provide the best response and care possible.
