The Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department was recently awarded a grant from the Brownsburg Walmart to purchase new supplies for the officers.
The Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department announced that the Brownsburg Walmart has awarded the department with a grant to purchase 20 new medical and trauma bags for its officers to aid in first responder calls where a patient is in dire need of medical assistance before emergency medical personnel can arrive on the scene.
“Often, WMPD officers are first on scene on cardiac arrests, traumatic injuries and other medical emergencies,” the department released. “These kits will help our officers be more prepared to serve the public. Thank you, Walmart.”
