In honor of the Women, Infants, and Children, known as WIC, program’s annual celebration for World Breastfeeding Week, community members in Carroll County and White County will receive the opportunity to obtain free resources during their respective celebrations later this week.
Two celebrations are being planned by WIC to aid breastfeeding mothers, parents of young children and caregivers to provide free resources and car seat safety training next week. During the celebrations, moms of the WIC program who are currently or have previously breastfed will be available during the celebrations to answer questions. The events will also feature snacks, prizes and car seat check-ups from IU Heath Nurse and Car Seat Technician Linsey Hulsey. Appointments for car seat check-ups may be arranged by contacting Hulsey at 765-838-4670.
The Carroll County Celebration will be held on Friday, Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 901 Prince William Rd. in Delphi. For more information, contact the organizers at 765-564-2048.
