Wildcat Creek Career Cooperative (WCCC) invites students, families, and community members to attend its upcoming Open House on Thursday, February 26, from 3:30–5:30 p.m. The event will showcase innovative programming, new facilities, and community partnerships that are preparing Clinton County students for high-demand careers.
A highlight of the event will be the grand opening of the LEARN Academy Industrial Maintenance Lab, developed in partnership with Ivy Tech Community College and funded through an IN-MaC grant. The lab provides students with hands-on training in industrial maintenance, helping them build technical skills aligned with regional workforce needs.
“This Open House is an opportunity for our community to see firsthand how we are building skills and growing futures for our students,” said Georgia Everett, CTE Director. “From advanced technical training to real-world career experiences, WCCC is preparing students for success after graduation.”
In addition to the lab opening, attendees can participate in a Community Health Fair hosted in partnership with Meridian Health, offering resources and information to support student and family well-being.
Guests will also have the opportunity to explore 26 Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathways available through WCCC. These programs provide students with hands-on learning experiences, industry certifications, and connections to local employers across a wide range of fields, including healthcare, skilled trades, education, agriculture, and more.
The Open House is free and open to the public. Community members are encouraged to tour the facility, meet instructors, connect with partners, and learn more about how WCCC is supporting workforce development in Clinton County.
