William “Eric” Hodson, 52, Forest, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. He was born May 17, 1971, in Frankfort, the son of William “Bill” Ernest and Mary “Katherine” (Smith) Hodson. On June 15, 2018, he married Cristian Fridley, and she survives.
Eric was a 1990 graduate of Clinton Central High School. He retired from Chrysler after 30 years of service. Eric loved being outside, especially when it came to gardening, bonfires, splitting wood, and mushroom hunting. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
In addition to his wife Cristian, Eric is survived by his children, Tanner (Jenna) Hodson, Tyler (Candace) Hodson, and Layla Newton; mother, Katherine Hodson; grandchildren, Cameron and Tripp Hodson; siblings, Wyndi (Tim) Hall, and Kathy (Brian) Smith; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Eric was preceded in death by his dad, William “Bill” Hodson; nephew, Nathaniel Smith; and great-nephew, Mason Stillwell.
A private burial will take place in St. Paul Cemetery with Pastor Jason Grant officiating. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Cremation has been entrusted to Stout & Son Funeral Home. Messages of condolence may be left online at www.stoutandson.com.
