Wilma Kay (Elliott) Howe

 

Wilma Kay Howe, 87, of Mulberry, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024, at Mulberry Health.  She was born in Kilmore on May 8, 1937, to Donald and Neva (Tedlock) Elliott.  She married Richard Howe on July 19, 1959, in Frankfort and he survives.

Wilma was a 1955 graduate of Frankfort High School.  She worked for Robinson and Holden Pharmacy, both in Mulberry, and for Mulberry Health for 26 years before retiring in 2016.  She was a member of Mulberry United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women’s Group, a member Order of the Eastern Star in Frankfort for over 60 years, Madison Township Homemakers, Junior Women’s Club and served as an assistant leader, with both Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts when her children were active in scouts.  Wilma enjoyed volunteering at Mulberry Health.  She was very creative also enjoying cross stitching, crocheting, crafting, and calligraphy.   She loved spending time with her family where they often played games together.

Along with her husband of 65 years, Wilma is survived by her children, Craig (Kim) Howe and Denita (Gary) Dieterle; sisters-in-law, Mary Louetta Howe and Diana Elliott; grandchildren, Brittney (Cory) Vallow, Sara (Brian) Lawson, Brandy Dieterle, and Curtis (Danielle) Howe; and three great grandchildren, Caden, Lily, and Jacob.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Deena; a brother, Donnie Paul Elliott.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 20, 2024, from 10am until the time of the service at 11am at Mulberry United Methodist Church.   Pastor Keven Smith will officiate.  Burial will follow at Fair Haven Cemetery.  Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Mulberry Chapel is assisting with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Operation Christmas Child.  Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
