The 30th Annual Senior Fair will be held Wednesday, September 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Community Life Center, which is behind the First Church of the Nazarene at 2056 E. Wabash St., in Frankfort or right across from Frankfort High School. All seniors age 50-and-above are invited to attend. This year’s theme is “Celebrating 30 Years of Seniors”.
There will be free admission along with door prizes and fun. Seniors can visit nearly 50 booths from area businesses and organizations offering products and services for seniors. There will also be free breakfast, free lunch, free health screenings along with flu and pneumonia shots available with insurance and Medicare filing available.
The free breakfast is sponsored by Goodwin Funeral Home and Archer Weston Funeral Home and Cremation Center as well as Hearing Solutions of Indiana. The free lunch is sponsored by Home National Bank and Genda Funeral Home. Healthy Communities of Clinton County Coalition will offer the following free health screenings — blood pressure, blood glucose and BMI (body mass index). Individuals will also be able to play bingo and win prizes.
On-stage entertainment will be provided by the Wildcat Creek String Band. Stage sponsor is Clinton County Senator Brian Buchanan.
Due to parking concerns near the Community Life Center, people will be able to park in the Frankfort High School parking lot nearest to Maish Road. There will be a shuttle bus available to take individuals from the parking lot to the Community Life Center and back throughout the event. The shuttle is sponsored by BCS Landscape Design.
The Senior Fair in sponsored by WILO Community Radio, Clinton County Daily News.com, Encompass Credit Union with two locations in Frankfort and one in Tipton and Center Township of Clinton County.
