The Wings over Kokomo Airshow is returning to the Kokomo Municipal Airport on Saturday, Sept. 18. The airshow, presented by Commemorative Air Force (CAF), the Warbird Training Center, and the City of Kokomo will feature aerobatics, Warbird rides, kid’s activities along with food vendors and a beer garden.
The CAF was founded to find and preserve World War II-era combat aircraft for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations. The Warbird Training Center is a T-6 Texan Warbird flight operation, which offers aircraft for static display on airshow and airport event ramps, for participation in Warbird reviews and airshows, and thrilling nostalgic flight experiences.
There will be aircraft displayed throughout the airport. Admission is free to the air show and all of the aircraft exhibits. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome.
Gates open at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18. Air show begins at 1 p.m. and continues to 3 p.m.
