The Clinton County Fairgrounds Winter Storage Program is set to begin this November. However, some details are yet to be announced.
Clinton County Fair Council member Skip Davis, who sets-up the program says, “There is much early interest in this year’s program. RVs, boats, cars, trucks and other equipment will be received into Winter Storage on November 3, at 8:00 a.m.”
How entry is made into the fairgrounds is expected to be changed. According to Davis, “In the past, entry has been made through the north entrance, along Jackson Street. But, this year the entry location will likely be changed, pending on how the construction of the new Emergency Medical Service Building is progressing and how that construction affects the use of that entrance.” Davis says, “We just don’t know at this time.”
The date when Winter Storage ends is also up in the air. Davis says, “The Fair Council is considering if the date can be moved up a week or two to accommodate some feeder pig auctions in Clinton Hall.” Davis expects a decision will be made before the Winter Storage program begins.
