Witham Health Services Celebrates National Hospital Week May 12-18

National Hospital Week is May 12-18, 2024 and is the nation’s largest healthcare observance. It unites healthcare facilities across the country in saluting their employees and reaffirming their commitment to the patients and communities they serve.

Witham Health Services celebrates National Hospital Week in Boone County honoring the teamwork and dedication of its employees. Witham was officially founded May 13, 1915 so this week coincides perfectly with these national observances and has been named “Witham Week” by those at Witham Health Services. To celebrate, the team at Witham has festivities planned for each day. With Sunday as Beach Day, Alma Mater/Sport Monday, Twin Tuesday, Witham wear Wednesday and Superhero/Disney Thursday as a few examples, you may see some funny characters around the Witham campuses. Selfie stations, prizes and treats all week to celebrate the awesome Witham team and all they do for our community.

National Hospital week also provides an opportunity to thank all of the dedicated individuals – physician, nurses, therapists, engineers, food service workers, volunteers, administrators and so many more – for their contributions. Every community has health care workers that work day and night to provide care on the front lines of public health while creating innovative ways to support the needs of their community members. Hospitals and health systems support public health nationwide by ensuring equitable access to care, leading innovative research and educating the public on prevention and wellness. “This important week gives us all the opportunity to celebrate our health care teams that provide hope and healing, and who support the health and well-being of our communities through dedication and care from the heart.” said Kelly Braverman, President/CEO Witham Health Services.
